Crowcombe Estate Devon cattle mature at a natural, unhurried pace. With this lifestyle, along with the varied diet we provide, produces high-quality, deep-flavoured marbled beef.

Devons are renowned foragers, thriving on steep slopes and hillsides—making them perfectly suited to managing our 90 hectares of heathland. They’re also among the quietest, most docile cattle breeds, as easy-going as they are hardworking.

Our herd of eighteen pedigree Devon cows, alongside our bull Elgar, graze year-round across the Estate’s heathland, calving throughout the summer months.
