The roboflail is used on steep ground, boggy ground, and difficult-to-access terrain to clear gorse, bracken, and brambles – it then shreds them down to a fine mulch.

Our roboflail is an Italian machine with a German engine, designed for use high in the Alps. As one of the first in this country to have one, we have extensive experience.

This machine has a 5-foot head and can work up to 60-degree inclines sideways as well as up and down. It’s tracked, resulting in minimal ground impact. 

The roboflail has two heads – one is a hammer flail, the other is a fixed tooth flail. 

The fixed tooth flail can chew up anything up to a 5-inch log, whereas the swinging hammer flail is particularly good for bracken and gorse. Bracken is known to clog, wrap around and form rope-like tangles in mowing machines – but the hammer flail shreds it into bits. 

The roboflail is compact enough to transport on a standard trailer. Because of this, we can get to places that bigger machines can’t. If a 4x4 and a trailer can get there, we can get there.
