Jim Laver

Jim is a specialist in rural management with over 25 years of experience. He has previously worked as the Senior Estates Manager for the West of England for English Heritage. He has worked on and been responsible for some of Britain’s most important and iconic historic estates, buildings and structures. 

Jim has been working on the Crowcombe Estate for the last 30 years. He started in forestry and groundwork, then, about 10 years ago, retrained into a professional role and began assisting Anthony Trollop-Bellew with management decisions. Jim took over the running of the Estates in October 2022. 

In his free time, Jim enjoys game shooting and goes salmon fishing every year. He has a great passion and interest in natural history and landscape history. 

It gives Jim a great sense of pride to stabilise and improve the Crowcombe Estate for future generations.
