Annabel was born and brought up on her parents’ farm in West Bagborough. 

She trained as a Cordon Bleu Cook at Evendine Court outside Malvern, then moved to Bristol to work as a chef at directors’ lunches, dinner parties, and weddings, before marrying Anthony in 1990 and moving to Hurley Farm on the Crowcombe Estate.

Anthony and Annabel had two daughters, Emma and Harriet, who have now come back to live in and around Crowcombe. 

Annabel’s hobbies are cooking, skiing, walking, theatre, photography and exploring the world with friends and family. She also does jump judging for British Eventing.

Jim is a specialist in rural management with over 25 years of experience. He has previously worked as the Senior Estates Manager for the West of England, for English Heritage. He has worked on and been responsible for some of Britain’s most important and iconic historic estates, buildings and structures. 

Jim has been working on the Crowcombe Estate for the last 30 years. He started in forestry and groundwork, then, about 10 years ago, retrained into a professional role and began assisting Anthony Trollop-Bellew with management decisions. Three years ago, he took over the running of the Estates. 

In his free time, Jim enjoys game shooting and goes salmon fishing every year. He has a great passion and interest in natural history and landscape history. 

It gives Jim a great sense of pride to stabilise and improve the Crowcombe Estate for future generations.

Helen is new to the Estate and is in charge of marketing and product sales.

Helen is also involved in overseeing the health and welfare of livestock, thanks to her background in animal nursing and her previous work as a vet tech and TB tester for a farm animal practice.

In her spare time, she enjoys walking her dogs, Pilates and spending time with her family.

Daz is a friendly and familiar face on the estate. He started working here in late 2021 after running his own successful refurbishment and property maintenance business. Initially, he got involved with the estate by carrying out reactive maintenance and building projects; however, his role has since expanded, and he is now heavily involved in stock and woodland management as well as running the flailing and logging operations.  

He particularly enjoys being out in the woods and has completed training courses that allow him to further his woodland management skills 

In his spare time, he spends time with his family and two pet spaniels, cultivates his vegetable patch, and is an avid football player for Williton Rockets.
